Film Festival Guide was established by Leigh Russell in 2008 (You can find our archived site here). We have had a break from 2018 and are back in 2021.
In 2021 Kyle Goldfinch joined the team and will be hosting FFG RADIO on Orbital radio.

Leigh Russell
Leigh Russell has a background in arts administration, marketing and is a producer of community initiatives. She has been the industry and jury liaison for the Academy accredited Flickerfest International Short Film Festival and programmer for the SAE FlickerUp youth strand since 2016. She is the co-founder and editor of Film in Revolt; a platform for youth in Australia to explore film . Her community initiatives include Hello Bookcase, Hello Library, Project remake and Arts Rocket. Leigh was on the jury for the 2017/2018/2019/2020 SAE ATOM Awards and has been on the selection committee for Flickerfest, the 2018/2019/ 2020/2021 Scout Film Festival and the 21st WOW Film Festival. You can also find her co-hosting the arts program Cannonball on Orbital radio. Leigh graduated with a Bachelor of Communication – Media Major.
Kyle Goldfinch
Kyle Goldfinch is a 26 year old writer and filmmaker based in Sydney who has been highly engaged working in the LGBT screen space. He has been heavily involved in the non for profit organisation. Queer Screen, in numerous roles including general assistant, programming team and youth outreach officer for both the Mardi Gras Film Festival and Queer Screen Film fest. In his work with Queer Screen’s programming team Kyle has viewed hundreds of short films gaining a strong understanding of the world of queer cinema as well as an extensive network within the international queer film festival circuit. Kyle currently is at Flickerfest as the marketing and programming Assistant for Flickerfest 2021. He also a freelance programmer for film festivals including AFIN in Brisbane and Scout Film Festival.
